Go Fishin'!

Although there are not many options on this page and the idea of fishnets can be trashy, if you wear them the right way they can totally work. Instead of the basic black, blue,or lace tights why not exlpore and try some fishnets. I recently wore some light peach color fishnets with a high waisted skirt and a basic white top and I am proud to say it was a cute outfit. Don't be afraid to try something different. If you wear a simple outfit like a skirt and flats it can look good but if you wear heels with them, then you might look like a hooker. Fishnets come in all different colors and all different styles. The 5 I chose are all different styles and can definitely come off as normal and not trashy. So go fishin' and get some fishnets and if they dont work out so well, send them off to goodwill...but I gurantee youll get a compliment or two.

Gidget

I decided to start doing some entries on iconic stylish women from movies. My first is Sandra Dee. I remember when I was about seven my mom made me watch the movie Gidget. I instantly fell in love with it and made her rent all the rest of the Gidget series and transfer them to VHS so I could watch them 24/7. If you have never heard of the movie Gidget it's based on a ambitious teenage girl who spends her summer at Malibu point where she meets a group of surfer guys. It was made in 1959. Her style is very cute, bubbly and flirty. With the film being set mostly on the beach, shoes are barely worn. She wears jumper bathing-suits, cute colorful bubble dresses, and simple but still classy cardigans. Next time you want to watch a cute classic movie rent Gidget, she exemplifies the confident, cute, but still tomboyish type of girl.

“Me, I'm good at nothing but walking on the set with a pretty dress.”

Romper Mania

Rompers/jumpers/playsuits, whatever name you want to call it, these cute little shorts and tops put together are the newest sensation. I call them rompers, although it is also the term used for baby clothes, this new style sure is cute. A romper you can either dress up or dress down. They work with flats or heels and they are very easy to wear(except for going to the bathroom). All these rompers shown on here are under 100 dollars. Some from topshop others from target, all these rompers are a little different. There's silk rompers and theres cotton rompers, theres black rompers and theres floral rompers. No one can go wrong with a romper, add some jewelry and a cute pair of flats and it can work as both a day and night outfit. Adding tights, a belt, or even both even adds more style to it. I know there is a lot to handle on this one page, sooo many rompers but I wanted to show the various styles of them and there was just too many to choose from! Enjoy, be a little different and instead of the little black dress, or jeans and a shirt go for a romper! I doubt you'll regret it.

Dont be Bitter about Glitter!

Glitter! Glitter! Glitter! It can get all over the place, but its always a fun way to accessorize. It can work on your face or it can work on clothes. The dress and top are made of sequenced but sequence gives off the shiny unique color of glitter. I would definitely consider glitter a type of color. Urban Decay and Mac make great glitter products. The glasses from asos (#3) are really cool, instead of the classic black or tortishell why not go for glitter wafers! The wallet is just a cute add to your purse. Everything on this page is under 133 dollars. The most expensive item is #9. The headbands are very cute and a great way to accessorize a plain outfit. I really love the tights(#8), a pair of glitter tights and some justin boots could look super cute. Why not stand out of the crowd and go for some cute glitter items. Dont be bitter about glitter girls, add some excitement to your outfits.

Catcher in the Rye

I decided to go with a book that exemplified a fashion forward era of time. I thought Catcher in the Rye was a perfect example. The book which was published in 1951 talks about a boys life within the late 1940s to 1950s. The clothes during that era were very sophisticated and very well put together. Dresses for girls included being long and poofy and the tye around the waist dress became popular during this time. Women did not show that much skin which really helped express womens true beauty. Men such as Holden Caulfied wore hats, letterman jackets, trench coats, flannels, button down shirts, button down sweaters and slacks. Hunting hats and fedoras were popular choices of hats. The Flannel "rage" began during this time, many men wore them. The style for men in the 1950s was very put together and charming. Bring back the 1950s boys and girls.

If a girl looks swell when she meets you, who gives a damn if she's late? Nobody.

Polish the Seas

Nail Polish= affordable.

These colors I chose all come from the bottom of the ocean. It's spring and almost summer and its time for some blues, greens, corals, and pearls. I think the Nars "zulu"green is a great color and i never really see anyone with green nails. Nail polish can add feminity to a girl and even add to an outfit. These colors are all really different from the usual blacks, reds, purples, and pinks. Polish your nails with the beautiful colors of the sea.

1. London Butter (Thames)
2. Nars (Adelita)
3. Essie (Boat House)
4. Nars (Zulu)
5. Essie (Aruba Blue)
6. Essie (Green Port)
7. Nars (Midnight Express)
